The Botanic Garden
The Botanic Garden offers something for everyone, whether they enjoy the beauty of native or exotic plants, the relaxation of a quiet walk, or the stimulation of learning about our environment. Take an hour, or allow a day if you want to discover all the features of the Garden.

The Prime Display area with its colourful native and exotic plants, is the entrance window to the Garden. Covering an area of one hectare, it is a miniature Botanic Garden, and is ideal for those who want a short walk, or as an introduction to the Garden.

The Mangrove Boardwalk is an interpretive walk close to the entrance. It is a unique feature, continually changing as the tide in Coffs Harbour Creek ebbs, and flows. A bird hide to observe the estuarine wildlife is an added attraction.

The Endangered Species are a collection of over one hundred rare plants considered threatened in their natural habitats. This planting both preserves, and provides seed for their continuing survival.

The North Coast Rainforest is where the beauty of five typical regional rainforest types is being created in a garden setting. Over 1200 plantings make it one of the most important man-made rainforests in NSW.

The Sensory Garden is where you can enjoy the fragrance and beauty of roses, and learn about the culinary, medicinal & scented properties of the herbs. Some beds are elevated for wheelchair accessibility.

The Non Australian Plantings cover the northern end. World zonal regions are being planted for America, China, Japan, India, Africa.

The Nature Trail is a 300 metre self guided tour through original Coffs Harbour bushland.

The Creek Walk follows Coffs Harbour Creek, with creek views, mangroves, spring wildflowers.

The Greenhouses are a long term project, being progressively planted with native and exotic plants.
